FAQ
Questions before you book
Clear answers on what The Clarity Hour is, what it isn’t, and how the session works.
Is The Clarity Hour therapy?
No. It’s coaching, not therapy, counselling, or mental health support. We might talk about how a situation is affecting you, but the point is reflection, clarity, and next steps.
Do I need to know exactly what I want to talk about?
No. Some people arrive with a specific decision or situation; others just sense something needs to change without knowing what the real issue is. Both are fine.
Is this only for career issues?
No. Ruth’s background is in career coaching, so work questions are welcome, but the session isn’t limited to that. Personal, professional, business, confidence, or something you can’t quite categorise can all fit.
What happens during the session?
You talk through what you’re bringing, what feels unclear, what matters to you, and what might be in the way. Ruth asks questions, reflects what she’s hearing, and challenges gently where useful.
Will you tell me what to do?
No. Ruth may help you look at things from a different angle, spot a pattern, or question an assumption, but the decision stays yours.
What if I get emotional?
That’s fine. When people finally get space to talk honestly, emotion often comes with it. The session stays focused on clarity and moving forward, and if a different kind of support is needed, Ruth will say so directly.
Is there any pressure to book more sessions?
None. This is designed as a one-off. If a single session gives you what you needed, that’s a good outcome.
How long is it and how much does it cost?
Up to one hour. The session costs £60, with payment details sent when you book.
Where does it happen?
Online, via Zoom. You’ll get the link after booking.
How should I prepare?
Not much. A few pre-session questions will help you start thinking about what you want to bring. Short, honest answers are enough.
What if I need to cancel or rearrange?
You can cancel or rearrange up to 24 hours before your session. Booking and cancellation details are sent when you book.
I’m not sure my issue is “suitable”. What then?
If you want space to think through a decision, situation, change, or feeling of being stuck, it probably is. Nothing needs to be dramatic or perfectly articulated first.
Ready to get clearer?
Still taking up too much space
in your head?
That’s reason enough to give it an hour of proper attention.
